This year I have learned how to tell when I need to multiply or divide. I have also learned how to multiply and divide more than just facts. Two key words that tell me when I need to multiply or divide are each and equally. The answer to a multiplication problem is a product. When you get your answer to a division problem it would be called the quotient. I have also learned how to multiply with a grid. The grid taught us why we put the zero down. To divide or multiply you will need to know these vocabulary words factor, product, divisor, dividend, and quotient. If it’s a tricky problem and you don’t know if you need to multiply or divide ask yourself is it less than________ or is it more than________. A way to tell if you need to  multiply or divide is the labels. If the labels are different than you multiply or divide.
